Booth Operator

Mike Powers is a Seattle-based composer and arranger. His operettas The Lost Genital Department (Althea Rao, librettist) and Have a Great Day! (Ozzy Wagner, librettist) were funded by Seattle Opera’s Jane Lang Davis Creation Lab. This is his first year serving on the Lowbrow Board of Directors, having previously stage managed for Lowbrow’s 2024 production of Sweets by Kate. Beyond opera, Mike is a frequent collaborator of Seattle chamber-folk band Townsend’s Solitaire, playing clarinet and arranging for their 2023 EP When We Were Faraway, and a fledgling collector of modular synthesizers.
